The team from WWE Raw for Survivor Series is all set, as we have learned on this past edition of the show.
Led by Shane McMahon, the team comprises of Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Jason Jordan. On the other hand, Smackdown Live had four members with Shane being in charge.
Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura were the remaining three members of the blue brand until now when the commissioner dropped a huge bombshell on Twitter regarding the final member. With this announcement none other than John Cena was included in the mix, all of a sudden to complete the squad.
The commissioner took his Twitter handle to announce that the franchise player of the company will be back at the 30th annual Survivor Series event to compete against team Raw on their behalf. It would be his first appearance before leaving in September. Also, it does not mean that he will stick around following the event. Rather, it is considered to be a one-off appearance.
Further proving #SDLive is the superior brand, I’m happy to announce @JohnCena will be the 5th member of Team Smackdown at #SurvivorSeries.

Following this announcement, Rusev took his Twitter handle to declare his frustrations. He congratulated the Cenation Leader to be chosen as a member of Team Blue, ‘fair and square’. It was a direct shot taken by his former rival since he got the opportunity just being the main event attraction despite not being around for a long time.
Congrats to my friend John Cena who qualified for the survivor series fair and square…… go get them TIGER

On the hand, Rusev was pitted against Randy Orton for a qualifying match on Smackdown. He ended up losing the contest since the creative team had John Cena planned for the final spot on the PPV event. So, the Bulgarian Brute vented out his frustrations on the social media site.
John Cena was last seen on WWE TV as part of the No Mercy PPV where he competed against Roman Reigns in a match. Following that, he went to Hollywood to fulfill his film commitments.
While making a comeback, he is using his ‘free agent’ status in the WWE. By using this tag, he can be available to any of the two brands, whenever required.
