ISIS terrorist attempted to murder a jail warden in West Bengal
ISIS terrorist attempted to murder a warder this morning at Alipore Central jail of West Bengal. Muhammad Mosiuddin aka Musa who was arrested last year and has been in jail since, tried to slit the throat of a warder Govinda Chandra dey. Govinda who was given the responsibility of keeping a close eye on the ISIS terrorist went in his cell this morning at near 6:30am for a routine check-up when Musa suddenly struck him with a stone and tried to kill him before the officials pinned him down and rescued the warder. It is also reported that he was chanting religious slogans while trying to slit the throat of the warder. Musa called this attempt of murder as a part of his Jihad.
“He tried to slit the throat of the warder, who was critically injured. He chanted slogans. As you known he belongs to a terrorist group. Jail officers and other inmates brought him down. We will not tolerate such insane activities inside the jail. Security has been enhanced and all necessary steps taken,” State Prison Minister Ujjal Biswas told a private news agency.
According to the jail sources Musa was planning the attack from a long time. He had made the knife using a piece of iron inside the jail. Other inmates of Musa grabbed Musa and stopped him from murdering the innocent warder.
“Musa first hit him on the head with a stone. As the warder fell down, he took out a improvised knife and tried to slit the victim’s throat. Other inmates near nearby cells grabbed him and brought him down. The knife was made inside the jail using a piece of iron. He also had fertilizer in his pocket that he intended to rub on the wound,” said a senior officer of jail department. “Later, during interrogation Musa stated that he was planning it for some time and wanted to kill the warder as part of his jihad. We have separated him from other inmates. Police has also lodged an FIR against him and investigation is on,” he added.
Musa was arrested in 2016 when he was traveling on a train to his home at Birbhum district of West Bengal. A sword, knife, pistol, manual of making weapons, and speeches of ISIS leaders were recovered from him. Later his case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to the NIA he had plans of carrying out ISIS style beheadings on Bengal and lone-wolf attacks on tourists at Srinagar. He also had plans of killing tourists near Mother Teresa house at Kolkata.
