If you’ve been holding out on buying an iPhone X until you can buy a SIM-free version without having to select a carrier, this is your lucky day!

Apple now has SIM-free versions of the iPhone X, in all storage capacities, available online. These carry the same one week delivery estimate as other iPhone X handsets.

The SIM-free iPhone X models support both GSM and CDMA networks, thereby making them ideal for anyone who wants the freedom of easily switching networks — or anyone who travels regularly.

Up until now, the iPhone X was restricted to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint. Pricing for the SIM-free version of the handsets are the same as the U.S. carrier versions, meaning $999 for the 64GB version or $1,149 for the 256GB version.

Supply and demand

The iPhone X is shaping up to be Apple’s most successful iPhone in history. Despite this demand, Apple has managed to keep supply matching up to demand.

Respected Apple analyst KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo claims that manufacturer Foxconn is currently shipping 440,000 to 550,000 iPhone X units per day, representing an enormous increase on the 50,000 to 100,000 units being shipped each day just a couple months back.
