MSES celebrates silver jubilee, seeks COHSEM recognition

Morning Star English School (MSES), Sapormeina considered as one of the best educational institutions in the area, celebrated its silver jubilee at its school campus today.

The occasion was attended by chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), Lamabam Mahendra Singh as chief guest on behalf of Education minister, Th. Radheshyam along with chairman, ADC Sadar Hills, Haokholal Hangshing, executive member, ADC Sadar Hills, Kaikhosei Lhouvum, and former chief executive officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous Council, Kangpokpi, Chongpu Kipgen.  

Besides the above mentioned dignitaries, the celebration also witnessed the attendance of member, ADC Sadar Hills, Lunthang Haokip; ZEO Kangpokpi, Lhingneikim Kipgen, executive secretary, TBA (I) reverend Lunlal Kipgen along with Nengcha Kipgen and representatives from the students’ community, parents and guardians, village chiefs and local area leaders.

As part of the event, a silver jubilee monolith was unveiled by the chief guest to commemorate the Silver Jubilee celebration while founder headmaster of the school, Lhunkhohao Sitlhou presented the welcome address.

Reverend Lunlal Kipgen also dedicated and invoked prayers for the school and founder secretary of MSES, Thenkhosei Kipgen presented a brief history of the school highlighting the school’s wish for recognition of Class XI-XII from COHSEM while submitting a memorandum to the chairman of COHSEM.

Addressing the gathering, chairman of COHSEM, Lamabam Mahendra stressed on the importance of education and the present scenario and changes in the education system while stating that “My hand is ready for the recognition of Class XI-XII of Morning Star English School.”

The occasion also witnessed motivational speeches from the chairman of ADC Sadar Hills and other dignitaries which emphasised the tireless efforts of the school’s founder, teaching and non-teaching staffs of the school in moulding the future of the nation.

Apart from the shows of appreciation and gratitude, the main highlights of the programme were the display of talents and skills from the students which enthralled the attending audience.  The function also witnessed marvellous performances from prominent Kuki gospel artistes, Wycliffe Lunneo, Vavah Kipgen and Hencha Sitlhou.
