Celebrities are of no use to Congress: Muta Gopal

Muta spoke to TRS party workers who visited him on his return from hospital on Monday. He said that he has been in public life for the past 40 years, and the people of the constituency are eager to elect him as their leader. He thanked corporators and party activists for campaigning in his absence due to illness. He said that KCR’s welfare schemes, such as Asara pensions, Shadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi, 24 hours uninterrupted power to farmers, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema and establishment of basti davakhanas in urban areas, have gained a lot of popularity. He exuded confidence of his victory. Criticizing Dr K Laxman, BJP state president and incumbent MLA of Musheerabad, he said that Laxman ignored the constituency and could not complete works for which funds were sanctioned by the state government.
Although funds were allocated for constructing returning wall for sewerage lines in low-lying areas, Laxman failed to take up the works, he said. He promised to address the issue of GO 59 if voted to power. He also promised to lay underground lines for sewerage nalas to reduce pollution from the water released from Hussain Sagar and to modernize the local fish market. He urged the party activists to assemble large number people for KTR’s road show to be held in Musheerabad on Tuesday. He thanked corporators and party activists for making KCR’s public meeting held on Sunday successful.
