Thiruvananthapuram: Continuous hartals have nominally affected Tourism industry in the Kerala, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He also suspected that several oranisations declared hartal to achieve this goal.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating Vasantholsavam at Kanakakkunnu here on Friday, the CM said that several nations had directed their citizens not to visit Kerala. He added that hartal was a last resort among protest.

Kerala had witnessed continuous protests following the Supreme Court order allowing entry of women to the Sabarimala temple. After several protests, including hartals witnessed large-scale violence in the state, several countries including Britain and the US had issued warnings to their citizens.
