FTAPCCI to organise seminar with United Nations
Hyderabad: The United Nations Procurement Division is visiting Hyderabad to explore the opportunities for procurement of goods and services from industry, trade entities and service providers in Telangana.
The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) has invited the delegation to sensitise and create awareness on the procurement opportunities and is organising a seminar on February 14 with the support of Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Telangana.
In 2017, the UN procured goods and services from 223 countries and territories, including all 193 UN Member States. And 126 countries and territories had a procurement volume of more than $10 million. As per the 2017 Annual Statistical Report on United Nations Procurement, India’s share in goods is $741.7 million and in services at $165.2 million is marginal, keeping in view the amount of resources India possesses.
The UN Global Market comprises of 21 major products including ICT, Pharma and Health, Food & Catering, Travel, Building and Construction, Real Estate, Engineering Services, Financial and Insurance Services and others procured from across the globe.
