AB de Villiers To Play ICC World Cup 2019? The Star Batsman Clarifies

When the cricketing world is too busy in their activities, the Superman in the game of cricket, AB de Villiers announced his retirement The cricket fanatics across the world were shell-shocked with the news, as they pretty much made up their mind to watch the champion in action for ICC World Cup 2019.

Ever since the retirement of AB de Villiers, South Africa is finding it tough to get the team balance right. The poor form of  also made things look tough for the team. However, the emergence of youngsters has given them a great boost ahead of the major event.

In between, in the post-match show, the flamboyant striker of the ball gave a clarification on his future in International Cricket.

However, it isn’t a piece of great news for the South African fans, as he is not willing to make a return to the game of cricket in the International arena. The nonchalant smasher of the ball quoted that he can’t cope up with 11 months of cricket in a year.

I cannot keep playing 10-11 months – AB de Villiers

Speaking of the reason behind leaving International cricket, ABD quoted that he wants to be sharp in the other forms of the game and can’t play 10-11 months of cricket in a year. So, he wants to play a little bit of cricket for a few franchises by keeping his skills sharp enough.

 AB de Villiers told Star Sports.

Following his retirement, AB de Villiers has played Mzansi Super League, the Bangladesh Premier League. the Pakistan Super League and the Indian Premier League 2019.

In Mzansi Super League, where he led the team finished as the second highest run-scorer while in his 6-match stint with BPL, he smashed 247 runs that include a century. Coming to IPL, he has been the solo pillar for the team, as Virat Kohli is failing to be consistent enough.
