Business Student of CGC Landran grabs IMA Scholarship for Globally Accepted Management Accountant Program
MOHALI: Girish Gupta, a Business Administration student at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran has been awarded a Scholarship from IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) which is the only global organisation to offer worldwide acknowledged CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Program. The final year student of BBA has become an academic IMA member and will be pursuing CMA Program at no cost. Girish is amongst 4,000 students across the globe who has received the CMA scholarship by IMA, a worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business spread across 140 countries.
The Scholarship will cover webinars, access to business journals, research oriented publications, tools to plan & advance career and a chance to become part of a regional chapter. It will entitle him to join a network of likeminded peers, diverse talent, and supportive colleagues active in all areas of the profession to share knowledge, access career opportunities, and make business contacts. The exams for the CSA program are conducted in 2 parts covering 11 competencies. It takes around 12-18 months to complete both parts but up to 3 years are allowed to complete them.
According to IMA’s Global Salary Survey- 2019, CMAs between the ages of 20-29 can earn 70% more in total compensation than non-CMAs globally.
