Many viewers were not very happy with the latest episodes of the eighth season of Game of Thrones. In fact, Lena Heady and Conleth Hill have also expressed their disappointment regarding the last season.
Many fans were disappointed after watching the eighth and final season of the fantasy series Game Of Thrones. The past five episodes of the last season have left the viewers in deep shock. GOT fanatics had huge expectations from this season after watching the previous amazing parts. However, many got disappointed and the eighth season was not upto the mark according to them. But not just viewers, some of the cast members, too, have expressed their disappointment. Like actor Conleth Hill, who plays the role of Lord Varys on the show also talked about the same.
He said, "That’s been my feeling the last couple seasons, that my character became more peripheral, that they concentrated on others more. That’s fine. It’s the nature of a multi-character show. It was kind of frustrating. As a whole, it’s been overwhelmingly positive and brilliant, but I suppose the last couple seasons weren’t my favourite." He further added, "If he was such an intelligent man and he had such resources, how come he didn’t know about things? That added to my dismay. It’s now being rectified with getting a great and noble ending. But that was frustrating for a couple seasons."
Lena Heady aka Cersei also had similar thoughts as her fans. She said, "I kept saying, ‘She wouldn’t, she wouldn’t, that she would keep fighting,’ but (David and Dan) obviously know what they’re doing and were adamant Cersei would do what she had to do." As for her final scene, which was turned into more of a love saga, Headey said, "I wanted her to have some big piece or fight with somebody".
