Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle hoping for reconciliation with daughter after baby Archie's birth?
Meghan and her dad Thomas Markle had an ugly fall out last year after he staged pictures and eventually dropped out of walking her down the aisle owing to health issues.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their new born baby Archie on May 6 and while the world congratulated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan's estranged dad Thomas Markle did not offer a statement until recently. Meghan and her dad Thomas had an ugly fall out last year after he staged pictures and eventually dropped out of walking her down the aisle owing to health issues. Well, royal experts now say that Thomas is possibly trying to get into the good books of his daughter Meghan Markle.
In a latest statement to The Sun, Thomas Markle said, "I'm delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well. I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour."
He added, "God bless the child, and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and God save the Queen." Thomas' comments on the birth of baby Archie came as a surprise as he is infamously known for passing snide remarks about Meghan.
Since the wedding, Meghan's father has given numerous interviews to the press and TV channels and also claimed that she ghosted him. Now, as per Andrew Morton, Princess Diana's biographer, the 74-year-old retired TV lighting director has been “very quiet recently.” And his recent comment to The Sun is nothing but positive. This may be an indication that the father is taking baby steps to repair his relationship with his daughter. Whereas, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland has been by her side as she began her phase of motherhood.
