Leh trekking expedition by JU concludes
LEH: The trekking expedition of the University of Jammu (JU), organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education on the world famous trekking route Sku to Hemis, at a height of 5,400 meters above the sea level, concluded successfully. The JU trekkers trek more than 100 kilometers distance in five days and covered Sara, Markha, Hankar, Nimaling Chakdo, Shangdo and Hemis trekking stations and other villages en route, a handout issued here on Tuesday informed.
The selected students from the Government Degree College (GDC) Bhadarwah, GDC Paloura, GDC Gool, GDC Hiranagar, GDC Akhnoor, GDC R.S. Pura, GDC Thannamandi, GDC Samba, GDC Sunderbani, GDC Kalakot, GDC Bani and hosts JU were part of the expedition.
The administrative and supporting staff from the Directorate of Sports, JU included Padam Dev Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia, Madan Gopal, Sat Pal and Kuljeet Singh under the leadership of Director, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba.
The aforesaid expedition was organised under the guidance of Jigmat a professional and certified guide.
