‘HE WAS THE ROCK OF OUR FAMILY’: Cameron Boyce’s parents open up about Disney star’s death

Cameron Boyce’s parents have spoken openly about the tragic death of their son.
The 20-year-old actor passed away suddenly following a seizure in his sleep on Saturday (06Jul19). Following speculation surrounding the cause of the Disney Channel star’s death, his relatives released a statement on Tuesday confirming the screen star suffered from epilepsy.
Now, in a statement to People.com, the Descendants star’s parents, Libby and Victor, shared their “indescribable pain” over the youngster’s passing.
“The pain we have endured and are continuing to endure is indescribable, but we are making every effort to move forward and ensure that Cameron’s legacy and all that he stood for is honoured,” they shared. “He was and is, so cherished and we will hold him in our hearts forever. He is our shooting star.
“He was the very definition of human kindness, and a light that will forever shine as his spirit lives on in all who knew and loved him. He was the rock of our family and he always had a positive, heartwarming, insightful and caring outlook on everything and everyone.”
The family went on to thank fans for their “love and support” during the difficult time, adding: “There are no words to describe how moved we are by the tremendous outpouring of love and support from our family, friends, and the world.
“Thank you, everyone, for encircling us with your love and respect of Cameron and concern for our family,” they added.
Since Cameron’s passing, a long list of stars have taken to social media to share tributes to the star, including Michelle Obama, Kristin Chenoweth and Dove Cameron, who called him an “earth angel” and “the ultimate example of a human being”.
