The 2013 batch IAS officer, Dr. Saeed Sahrish Asgar, would never have imagined that his new responsibility would be to talk to the people of the valley on phone with their loved ones sitting hundreds of kilometers away and provide them doctors.  PD Nitya, a 2016 batch IPS officer posted in Srinagar, has an important responsibility from Ram Munshi Bagh to Harwan Dagachi village.  The detained VIPs have been kept on this route.  At the moment, only Asghar and Nitya are the only women IAS and IPS officers who have been posted in the Valley.

Work changed in last 8 days
Significantly, since the removal of article 370, there are many restrictions in the valley.  In such a situation, the administration has made arrangements ranging from phone booths to essential goods to provide convenience to the people.  Just four days before Jammu and Kashmir was declared a Union Territory, Asghar was appointed as the Information Director of the Jammu and Kashmir administration in Srinagar.  While her new job was to make people aware of the government's plans, she has been listening to people's problems for the last 8 days.
