BSY finally gets new Cabinet, ministers take oath

Bengaluru: After nearly three weeks, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has got his Cabinet. As many as 17 ministers were sworn in as ministers in the Karnataka Cabinet on Tuesday, August 20 in the presence of Governor Vajubhai Vala and CM BSY.

The MLAs who made the cut for the Cabinet berths are Govind M Karajol, C N Ashwath Narayan, Laxman S Savadi, K S Eshwarappa, R Ashok, Jagadish Shettar, B Sreeramulu, S Suresh Kumar, V Somanna, C T Ravi, Basavaraj Bommai, Kota Srinivas Poojari, J C Madhu Swamy, C C Patil, Prabhu Chavan, Shashikala Annasaheb and independent MLA H Nagesh.

It can be recalled that BSY has been facing criticism for taking too long to expand his Cabinet. As he had not ministers to back him, he was forced to single handedly manage the flood crisis in the state.

So far, the individual ministerial posts have not yet been revealed.
