Musheerabad: About 100 TRS activists of Adikmet division led by TRS leaders Vasavi Rajashekhar Gupta, Vadakattu Raju and Raghuramulu Gupta joined BJP in the presence of the state president of BJP, Dr K Lakshman, at a programme held at Ramnagar crossroads on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Lakshman said that several leaders and activists of other parties were showing interest to join the party. Criticising the TRS government, he said that the people in the state were facing many problems and wishing that BJP should come to power in next elections.

He said the health department in the state government failed miserably in checking the spread of seasonal diseases. He said that people were vexed by corruption and negligence by TRS government.

Ravindra Naik, a former MP speaking on the occasion, condemned carving of CM's pictures on the pillars of Yadadri temple. The government should remove the pictures and BJP asked its workers to fight against it, he said. Several BJP leaders and locals participated in the programme.
