DSP Devinder was awarded for the encounter for which ... NIA will investigate
Several conspiracies are being revealed in the interrogation of DSP Devinder Singh, arrested along with Hizbul Mujahideen militants in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorist encounter for which he received the only bravery award from the state government is now under investigation. After an investigation so far, it is suspected that Devinder had also helped the terrorists escape in the encounter. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will now investigate it.
According to sources, on 25–26 August 2017, the police line in Pulwama was attacked by Jaish-e-Mohammed militants. Four CRPF personnel were killed in this, while two terrorists were also killed. Highly placed sources said that after this encounter, Devinder Singh received the gallantry medal on behalf of the state government on Republic Day 2018.
However, the investigating agencies suspect that Devinder also cleared the way for the other terrorists to flee. The exact information about how many terrorists were involved in this attack could not be found. There was always the suspicion that there were at least six more terrorists besides the two slain terrorists who were not detected. In the inquiry, Devinder has given some such information, which is doubting this doubt. In addition to Jammu and Kashmir, Devinder is being intensively questioned by IB, RAW and Military Intelligence (MI).
Afzal Guru also took the name
Sources said that Afzal Guru, who was convicted in the Parliament attack about Devinder, was not taken seriously. Afzal told his lawyer that Devinder Singh had asked him to take the terrorist killed in the Parliament attack from Kashmir to Delhi. At the behest of him, Afzal gave the terrorist a place to stay in Delhi and arranged for a vehicle.
