Army organises Medical and Veterinary camp in Poonch
POONCH: Army organised a Medical and Veterinary camp at village Bandi Chechian, Poonch district for villagers of Bandi Chechian, Kasba, Kirni, Kalas and neighboring villages.
These villages are in remote locality of Poonch District and the locals of this place are devoid of medical facilities and depend largely on Army deployed in the area for medical assistance.
The main aim of this event was to provide medical and veterinary assistance to the needy populace by addressing their health problems. A team of Army Medical officers including Dental Officer alongwith specialists from District Hospital Poonch rendered their services to the locals. Medical checkup and distribution of medicines was carried out in the camp.
There was an overwhelming response by the local population, who appreciated the efforts wholeheartedly. The locals also commended the initiative shown by the Army to bring about improvement and upliftment of the remote villages along the Line of Control. Such camps will go a long way in developing goodwill amongst local populace and Army.
The medical camp highlighted the keen effort put in by the Army to co-ordination with civil administration in organizing the medical care for the under privileged locals residing in the area.
